Inspired by my sister-inlaw Cat I'm going to try selling some of my goodies on-line. I've had loads of sales from people I know on Facebook, so I thought it might me worth giving it a try, after all if I'm making the stuff to order what's to lose.
Amid the chaos of decorating and floor laying, I did it! I finally managed to get Richard's swim bag made, ready for when he starts swimming with ths school this week at our local pool.
Been too busy with lots of others things recently to sew, decorating, kids birthdays, work etc, but here's a sneak peak at the latest fabric I purchased.....
a strange choice for someone who doesn't like cats.
I knew I wanted to make little Abbey Rose something for her birthday, but as I'd already brought all her presents it only needed to be so something small and light to post. I spotted a smiliar idea to this in one of my sewing books, so decided to give it a go.
I thought it would look lovley and bright on the table as well as being practical.
I used a heat protective waddding in between the fabric layers to ensure there are never any marks left on Cat's tables.
I'm a busy working mum/wife, with two wonderful children, Richard who's 9 and Natasha who'll be 6 in a couple of weeks. I've always loved crafty projects, more often than not though the ideas in my head are alot better than the finished results! My sons teacher and friend of mine has very kindly gave me her old sewing machine a few weeks ago, so I have set aside a space in our kitchen diner just for me and my sewing machine, this makes life so much easier as it's always there ready and waiting for me.
