What have I learnt this week?

Well it must be ages since I was last on here,  lots being going on in the last week or so.  The Royal Wedding happened on Friday which meant we all got an extra day off work, to celebrate we went to a friends for a BBQ and I made red, white & blue cakes.

Saturday was spent shopping in Manchester with a very old friend, we had a real blast it was like being 19 all over again - well as long as you didn't look in the mirror it was.

Then Sunday we went to Wales and spent the day with the lovely couple we bought Nooodles from, they spoilt us rotten and even took us down to the beach so the kids and dogs could have a play in the sea.

 As you can see they al had a great time.

Tash enjoyed having a hug of Bethan.

In the last week or so I have learnt that;

• That fruit cake tastes so much better when you're on a diet.
• That my children's good manners are appreciated by others as well as by myself.
• That Krispy Kreme doughnuts don't taste that good.
• Even if you don't see a true friend for years when you do meet up again it's like those years never happened.

So much going on

I can't quite believe it's been so long since I've posted anything.  To say the last few months have been hectic is putting it mildly!  We've been without a bathroom for a couple of weeks then as soon as we had the bathroom back we were without a kitchen for another couple of weeks.  Then from the start of December we just seem to of been under a  blanket of snow - and of course the coldest December in over a 100 yrs. Then just as things seemed to be getting back a track one of best friends mum's died on Boxing Day.

I'm just hoping that 2011 is going to be kinder to us all than 2010. 

They Know Now.....

I think it's fair to say

that they were happy to meet

Noodles, not sure how Bumble feels

about it all yet.

But he does keep waking us up at 5.30am

so he can play with his new friend.

Richard & Natasha are going to be so excitied when they find out!

They've been at Nanny & Grandad's so don't know anything about him yet!

Amid the chaos of decorating and floor laying, I did it! I finally managed to get Richard's swim bag made, ready for when he starts swimming with ths school this week at our local pool.

I knew I wanted to make little Abbey Rose something for her birthday, but as I'd already brought all her presents it only needed to be so something small and light to post.  I spotted a smiliar idea to this in one of my sewing books, so decided to give it a go.

I thought it would look lovley and bright on the table as well as being practical.

I used a heat protective waddding in between the fabric layers to ensure there are never any marks left on Cat's tables.

As rare as hens teeth.......

Took a bit of arm twisting to get Tash to try it on, but I think she's happy with it now.
